A freelance legal advisor is sought to support early-stage permitting and land acquisition for a cluster of onshore wind projects in central and northern Sweden. As Sweden accelerates its renewable energy transition, legal clarity in local planning and permitting frameworks has become essential. This role places you at the core of a project that will provide significant clean power capacity to the Swedish grid.
You will help lay the legal foundation for projects that are geographically dispersed, involving municipalities, landowners, and environmental agencies. You will ensure that contractual, procedural, and land rights aspects are sound and future-proofed.
You will work alongside development managers and permitting consultants to guide the legal execution of lease and permit agreements. This includes reviewing land lease contracts, supporting the structuring of zoning applications, and aligning project documents with Swedish planning law.
You will play a key advisory role during stakeholder negotiations and community engagement, ensuring that land rights and permits are secured in a manner that is transparent, enforceable, and aligned with long-term project goals.
What You Can Expect
You will support tangible renewable project progress while navigating evolving local and national legal environments. Your legal perspective will be foundational to wind development success in Sweden’s energy transition.
If you are a qualified Legal Advisor ready to support greenfield wind permitting in Sweden, we welcome your application. Immediate start.
Applications are reviewed continuously. Only candidates selected for interview will be contacted.
